About Cambridge ICT Starters: In Cambridge ICT Starter, the students apply their knowledge of computers in 10 technology areas: applied technology, databases,desktop publishing,graphics
multimedia, operating enviroments, programming, spreadsheets, telecommunications, and word processing. About the Curricular Unit:
In World Currency, the students develop spreadsheet skills as they help the owners of a toy store. They begin by learning the basic parts of a spreadsheet,
including columns, rows and cells. While praticing cell recognition, they discover that the store sells toys, decorate an image of the store with toys and
organize toys in a grid. Then the students use speadshets to overall the currency collected by the the store, to calculate the number of toys in the store and to
determine the amount of toys sold. In addition, the students create charts based on the results they obtain on each of the tasks.
